Who is Ciaran...

Hi to everyone reading, my name is Ciaran Cunningham more commonly known as Ciaran McCarthy and welcome to my blog. Hopefully for my next blog, I will be using my stage name. This is a blog I have created to give readers a better understanding of me as a person, as well as my dreams and aspirations. Currently, I am a student studying Audio Production in SAE Institute, Liverpool. I hope to graduate with first class honours (BA) which will catapult me into my dream career.

For as far back as I can remember, long time ago now, I have always had a personal connection with music, it could be either full songs or simple sound patterns but they always hit me more than they did others and I found a sense of comfort within music. Growing up and even now it is something I can turn too for an escape and just to be in that zone listening and feeling. I always related to the rap side of music more than others, due to its message and personal relatability growing up. It was a genre that spoke to me more than any other and I could associate more with the artists. Nowadays my music taste is much more broad and can jump between multiple genres but I always have that sweet spot for rap and r&b and those are the type of beats I hope to create. Readers so far who are understanding me on that deeper level will know that once you get that feeling with music, you want to continue down that path with it in some way. Knowing very well I didn’t have the voice myself for it I decided to skip that phase and move straight onto the production side of things, after all it was the beats themselves that I related too rather than the words.

Further down the line I will move onto song writing for my own beats and maybe even one day who knows, give the singing thing a go…maybe. Well here I am beginning my journey into what I can only hope is a long and successful career creating and sharing the music I love.
