Path to Success

Having read the first 3 blogs you guys can probably guess where this one is headed, for those still not on the ball, let me clear it up. My passion in life is to work with music, my own music, create my own music style and let the world hear it, because who knows it could be what is missing from the music world. Odds are it isn’t but we wont know until we try.
I know in myself I am more advanced in music than the average listener, which is great but that's not where progress is made. No, progress for me right now is made on Pro Tools and mastering it as it will be useful for me in the future, not necessary but useful. Kind of like a food delivery service without the car, technically you could just walk but the progress would be much slower and the food would be cold.
I have made multiple steps towards perfecting my craft and giving myself the best shot at it I can. Recently invested in a new laptop to run the software from home and buying multiple plug-ins for home use. Relying on a few hours of teaching a week may be good for those just hoping to pass and get by, for myself who hopes to make a career from music, putting in the extra hours at home is where the difference is made. That being said, technically everyone is putting hours in at home this year so I’m fooling no one with that.
Not only am I setting out to perfect Pro Tools, but I am also encouraging myself to engage with more musical people. Technically at my study I am surrounded by those who share the same interests and who if I had to guess, want similar things to me in this career path. Maybe a simple conversation or similar interest will bring me to someone to help me progress further or maybe this is a journey I will conquer alone, all I know is, when I know so will you.
